Today the Residents were emailed about a pesticide application to the golf course for apparent nematodes. Should this action be discussed? Are there safer alternatives than the product selected for this treatment? See the link below.

As a recovering cancer patient of not only the disease, but the horrific treatment that goes along with a cancer diagnosis, I am very, very concerned about the potential threat from using known carcinogenic treatments on a golf course.
I understand the emphasis the community has on the golf course. What I don’t understand is at what cost? There must be alternative treatments to do the job and protect the citizens of Aquarina at the same time.
Is the Community, including the Board ready to accept the liability that could come from making such a dangerous decision? Especially without Residents’ input.
I think a pause is in order before going forward. I think the Residents need to stand up and make a statement. Unless, the majority just doesn’t care about anything that could cause such trauma. Doing nothing and saying nothing is acceptance. Time to speak up.
Respectfully,
Concerned Resident
